Login and Account Management
I can't log in with my email. What should I do?
Try resetting the password with "Forgot your password?" link
If you don't get a reset email from the "Forgot your password?" link, it's possible that you used the social login (Gmail or LinkedIn) when registering. Try logging in via those paths.
If unsuccessful, it is most possible that there's no account associated with your email. If you think it's a bug, you can reach out to us via support@hopohopo.io so that we can check if there's an issue.
How can I change my email address and where can I do that?
You can change your email by inviting the new email to your startup as a new user.
Click on "Collaborate & Share" from the top right corner in the platform
Type your new email to the member invite and click "Send invitation"
Accept the invitation from your new email
With the invitation accepted, you will become an admin of the startup under the new email. Now you can remove, if needed, the user with your old email from the Team page.
How do I delete my startup from the platform?
Startup deletion is currently handled through our dev team.
Reach out to us through the chat in the platform or via support@hopohopo.io
Mention the name of the startup you'd want to delete
We will handle the deletion
Data & Access
Who has access to my startup data in Hopohopo?
Your CRM is a private workspace designed for you and your team to manage fundraising securely.
Default privacy settings When you first create your account, your startup profile (including pitch deck and cap table) and your Fundraising Board are accessible only to you by default.
Inviting collaborators You can invite co-founders, team members, shareholders, or advisors to collaborate on your fundraising. Invited collaborators will have view and edit access to your startup data (including pitch deck and cap table) and the Fundraising Board.
Sharing your profile with investors You control when and how investors see your data. Share your startup profile via a shareable link or by applying directly to an investor through the platform.
Investors you shared your profile with will have view-only access to your startup data, (including your pitch deck and cap table). They cannot edit your data, nor can they access your Fundraising Board.
Applying to investors and events
Does updating the funnel stage from "Shortlist" to "Pitch Sent" automatically send my pitch deck to the investor?
No. Updating the funnel stage works only as a way to organise your fundraising funnel internally. To send your pitch deck to the investor, you can use the shareable profile link or the EasyApply feature for those investors that accept applications in the platform.
Why am I able to apply to some investors but not others?
Investors always have their preferrable ways to receive and filter their dealflow. Some of them use Hopohopo to do it — and then you can apply to them via the platform, — whereas others prefer emails, Linkedin messages, or custom forms on their website. For investors that don't accept applications in the Hopohopo platform, we list other contact channels, including email addresses, LinkedIn profiles, website links and phone numbers. You can find them from the investor profiles.
Where can I view my submitted applications and any associated feedback?
You can view all the investors you've applied to from your Fundraising page. Use the "Applications" filter to view those investors.
To access a certain application and any feedback from the investor:
Click on the investor from your Fundraising page
Click on "Open in full page" to open the investor profile
In the investor profile, click on "Discussion & Feedback"
I applied for an event but haven't received any updates. What should I do?
You can double-check if the event left any guidelines in the application or in their profile description.
If you don't find the guidelines and the situation remains unclear, it's best to reach out to the event organisers. You can find the contact details from the event profile in the platform.
How can I withdraw my application?
Application withdrawal is currently handled via our dev team. If you wish to withdraw your application:
Reach out to us via the platform chat or support@hopohopo.io
Mention which investor application you would want to withdraw
We will let you know once the applciation is withdrawn
Editing the startup data
When our pitch deck is updated, should I replace the existing pitch deck with a new one, or should I create a new company profile?
You don’t need to create a new company profile. Simply replace the existing pitch deck with the updated version.
A few key things to note:
Your startup profile includes a “last updated” timestamp, so investors will see that you've made changes.
Updating the pitch deck does not automatically update the rest of your startup profile data unless you choose to do so before you upload the new deck.
If the AI Pitch Deck Analyzer overwrites my information, can I revert those changes?
At the moment, it's not possible to revert profile changes. When you're updating your pitch deck in the profile, make sure you have disabled the new pitch deck analysis and the profile update.
Do I need to resubmit my investor applications when I've updated my startup profile?
No, you don't need to resubmit your applications. Any updates to your startup profile (including a new pitch deck) will automatically reflect for investors you've applied to with a "last updated" timestamp that will indicate your recent changes.
